Winter holiday in the Oetztal
Ski resort in Soelden
Soelden is a paradise for every winter sport fan. Every year the season starts with the FIS Ski Worldcup Opening at Rettenbach glacier. Thanks to the ski resorts height (from 1.350 to 3.340 meters above sea level), two glaciers and a high modern artificial snow system, perfect snow conditions are guaranteed from October to May. A varied mix of blue, red and black slopes on 145 well-groomed piste kilometers provide ski fun for professionals and beginners. Modern lifts will take you up the mountains and make the start to an unforgettable skiing day on wide and spacious slopes. At the Giggijoch there's also the ultimate Area 47 Snowpark for snowboarders and freeskiers. The name "BIG 3" unites the highest peaks (all of them are higher than 3.000 meters) of the ski resort and consequently make it unique in Austria. The viewing platforms at Gaislachkogel (3.058 m), Tiefenbachkogel (3.250 m) and Schwarze Schneid (3.340 m) are easily reachable in the course of the famous BIG 3 rally.
